The club meetings are held at the Overland Park Christian Church located at 75th and Consor in Overland Park, KS. Meetings are held on the 2nd. and 4th. Fridays (Jan.-Oct.). In November and December only one meeting is held. Meetings start at 7:30 PM and generally a post-meeting is held at a local eatery.
JCRAC operates two repeaters. Our 2 meter repeater is one of the most active in the Kansas City area and is located near the Jo. Co. Public Library at 87th and Antioch. The repeater operates on a frequency of 145.290 MHz with a negative offset. A 151.4 Hz Tone is required from midnight to 0600. Our UHF repeater operates on 443.725 MHz with a positive offset and no tone is required. The UHF repeater is off the air and expected back up in late 2009 or early 2010
The club operates a weekly Wheatshocker Net every Thursday night at 8:00 PM on the 145.290 repeater. This is an open net and we invite all licensed amateurs to join us.
Each member receives a copy of the monthly club Feedback newsletter which is full of HAM and club related information. This is a great benefit to members! The club is involved in various public service events and many members are involved in other public service associated programs such as A.R.E.S., E.C.S. and SATERN
